In Sumy Region, Occupiers Attacked Energy Facility: There Are Dead and Injured.

In the Sumy region, the Russian army attacked an energy facility, resulting in the death of one worker and seven others being injured. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
«In the Sumy region, as a result of the shelling of the energy facility, equipment and shelter were damaged, and several substations were de-energized. As a result of the attack, an employee of the enterprise – a 54-year-old driver – was killed, and seven other workers were injured and hospitalized,» the statement reads.
The Ministry of Energy also reported that in the Zaporizhzhia region, due to shelling, the operation of the power line was stopped, leading to the de-energization of substations. Additionally, in the Chernihiv region, as a result of shelling, power lines were disconnected, leaving 413 subscribers in 6 settlements without electricity.
It is currently impossible to predict under what conditions Ukrainians will go through the winter heating season, as possible attacks from Russia continue. The government is working on protecting energy facilities with first and second levels of defense.
Notably, from September 9, the level of electricity consumption in Ukraine is increasing.
Additionally, to increase electricity supply to Ukraine, the European Commission is working on resolving this issue.
Earlier, the former head of «Ukrenergo» Volodymyr Kudrytskyi stated that Ukrainian energy facilities have three levels of protection, including engineering fortifications to protect against Russian attacks.
