Situation in Pokrovsk. The head of the city military administration reported how critically important mines are operating.

The city of Pokrovsk, located in the Donetsk region, continues its work and coal extraction despite the approaching enemy. The head of the Pokrovsk city military administration, Serhiy Dobriak, reported that the city infrastructure is operating, and coal extraction and shipment from the mines continue.
About five thousand workers are involved in these operations. According to Dobriak, the enemy is shelling industrial facilities because the distance from the front line to Pokrovsk is five kilometers, and to the industrial enterprises - 14 kilometers.
The head of the Pokrovsk MVA also noted that several shops and two markets are operating in the city. The city hospital is also actively functioning, with two medics on duty. Currently, there are two branches of 'Nova Poshta' and a branch of 'Ukrposhta', but this may change in the near future.
Russian troops continue to move southwest of Pokrovsk, crossing the Solona River. Enemy units are located 14 kilometers from the settlement of Udachne, where the Pokrovsk Mine Management is situated. This industrial facility is important for the Ukrainian metallurgical industry because it extracts rare coking coal (grade 'K'), necessary for steel production at the country's largest metallurgical plants.
According to the head of the special staff for Ukraine at the German Ministry of Defense, Christian Freuding, Ukraine may lose Pokrovsk by the end of this year or early next year.
