Not just heat: the forecaster warned about the weather anomalies of summer 2025.

An abnormally warm summer awaits Ukraine
It is predicted that this summer in Ukraine will be extremely warm, especially in the south and east of the country, where temperatures may exceed +40 degrees. This information was reported by forecaster Ihor Kibalchyts.
The expert estimates the likelihood of an extremely warm summer at 70-75%. It is expected that the average temperature will be 1-1.5 degrees above climate norms. However, Kibalchyts notes that not all three summer months will be hot, as June may be cool, while July and August will be very warm.
Traditionally, the hottest period will be mid-July to mid-August, when the highest daytime temperatures and average temperatures are observed. It is expected that the heat is associated with air masses from North Africa, the Middle East, and central Asia.
'Therefore, on certain days, the air temperature, especially in the southern and eastern regions of Ukraine, may exceed +40 degrees,' - predicts Kibalchyts.
The observer recalled that 2024 was one of the warmest years in recorded history, with temperatures reaching +41 degrees in some areas. Interestingly, recently, the summer season has been getting closer to autumn, and September often remains very warm.
As for precipitation, forecasts are less accurate due to their localized nature. Thunderstorms and rains will be sporadic, so significant differences in precipitation can occur over short distances.
Despite the fact that the summer of 2024 was dry, the upcoming season may bring more precipitation and more active thunderstorms. However, this also increases the risk of hail and tornadoes. The forecaster noted that he does not expect 2025 to repeat the temperature records of the previous year.
