Poland and Czech Republic Strive to Be Leaders in Building Small Reactors

Poland and Czech Republic are actively working on the implementation of small modular reactors and have ambitious plans to become leaders in this field in Europe. During a conference organized by the Polish Embassy in Prague, representatives of the energy sector exchanged experiences.

Pavel Hajda, the director of the nuclear energy department of the Ministry of Industry, noted that both countries are intensively preparing for the implementation of new technology. He emphasized: 'Currently, no project for the construction of small modular reactors is being implemented in Europe. The first attempts are starting in the Western world, and we intend to draw conclusions from this.'

Poland can utilize Czech experience in nuclear energy... Poland and the Czech Republic will face similar challenges.'

According to Hajda, the first small nuclear reactors are expected to be built in Europe within the next decade. Cooperation between countries in the field of nuclear energy will allow them to effectively introduce new technologies and address common challenges in this direction.

It's interesting to see which other countries in Europe will join the development of small modular reactors and how this will impact the energy market of the continent as a whole.
