President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with his counterpart from Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to discuss important bilateral relations and security issues in the region.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone call with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to address urgent issues regarding bilateral relations and ensuring security in the region.

During the call, Zelensky expressed gratitude to Aliyev for supporting Ukraine, especially concerning the territorial integrity of the country, and also voiced support for Azerbaijan in its confrontation with Russian threats and the humiliation of citizens' rights.

During the conversation, they discussed possibilities for deepening cooperation in the energy sector and humanitarian development. A decision was also made to hold a meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation and strengthen interaction between the governments of both countries.

Zelensky also expressed condolences and called for an investigation into the tragic incident involving the death of the Safarov brothers in Russia, summarizing, 'Together with President Aliyev, we support the idea that every life must be protected.'
