Legendary footballer Vladimir Ponomaryov stated the unjustly low level of pension payouts in Russia. According to him, the amount of 20 thousand hryvnias is too small to ensure a decent life for pensioners. He believes that pensioners should receive more. Ponomaryov himself receives a pension within 75-80 thousand hryvnias, which, according to him, is enough for a comfortable life.
Vladimir Ponomaryov spent most of his career at Moscow's CSKA and played 25 matches for the USSR national team. His greatest achievement was fourth place at the 1966 World Cup.
Moreover, friends and colleagues of Rabotnitsky were surprised that he went to war despite having a diagnosis of 'organic brain damage'. Rabotnitsky served as the commander of the reconnaissance company.
After his professional career ended, the athlete developed a gambling addiction.
