Land plot for Ukrainians: details of the application process.


During the state of war in Ukraine, there are restrictions on land management, but it is possible to obtain a land plot in private ownership or for rent. According to the legal provisions, transferring land plots into private ownership is allowed only if there are real estate objects on them, such as houses, buildings, or commercial real estate. To obtain ownership of a land plot, you need to contact the local administration at the location of the plot and submit the necessary documents, including proof of ownership of real estate and the identity of the applicant. If the plot was previously transferred for use, you must add an archival copy of the relevant document. Non-buildable land plots can be rented. Legal entities and entrepreneurs can obtain a land plot for rent through land auctions conducted in accordance with the law. Before submitting an application for obtaining a land plot, it is recommended to consult a lawyer or a land management specialist, as this process has many nuances depending on the purpose of the land and its status.
Despite the restrictions of the state of war, in 2025, the rules allowing the acquisition of land plots in private ownership or for rent will continue to be in effect in Ukraine. Citizens can contact the local council to obtain a land plot for a garden or for pasturing livestock. Entrepreneurs must participate in land auctions through the 'Prozorro.Sales' system.
