Zelensky's meeting with Biden at the UN General Assembly
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with US President Joseph Biden at the UN General Assembly in New York.
Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Biden and the United States for supporting Ukraine, which saves the lives of Ukrainians and ensures the country's independence, the President's Office reported.
The President of Ukraine also told Biden about the situation in Ukraine, particularly on the front lines.
"Zelensky focused on the issue of the Victory Plan. The leaders agreed to discuss it during a meeting in Washington on September 26," the President's Office reported.
The presidents also participated in a special G7+ meeting dedicated to the rebuilding of Ukraine. More than 30 countries and the European Union signed a declaration on the reconstruction of the country after the war.
"After the devastating Second World War, the allies implemented the Marshall Plan, which strengthened peace and helped it become lasting. Today we are laying the foundation for a similar recovery architecture - one that will promote peace for Ukraine, Europe, and general prosperity," Zelensky said.
