Journalist Yuriy Butusov has announced that he decided to join the National Guard of Ukraine. The editor-in-chief of the publication 'Censor.NET' did not specify what position he would hold. He reported this during a broadcast on Radio Svoboda, as reported by 'Glavkom'.

Butusov expressed the opinion that there is a lack of a system in Ukraine, and journalists along with military personnel are forced to discuss military issues on social media. He emphasized the necessity of making decisions to resolve the issue of war and decided to serve in the army.

We do not have a functioning system. And we, by the way, have also repeatedly talked about this when discussing personnel appointments in the Armed Forces. War requires decisions in essence; that is why I decided to join the army.

It is noticeable that besides Butusov, several other famous individuals have also decided to serve in the army. For example, the head of the 'Center for Counteracting Corruption' Vitaliy Shabunin has joined the State Border Service. Musician Pavlo Hots and writer Serhiy Zhadan have also chosen a military career in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
