The First Intergovernmental Conference to support Ukraine's integration into the European Union within the framework of the Ukrainian-Dutch dialogue took place in Lviv. The event was attended by Olha Stefanishyna, the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, and Kaspar Veldkamp, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. One of the main issues at the conference was support for reforms in the area of the rule of law. Ukraine presented the Roadmap for the rule of law and drew attention to a new draft law on improving the procedures for submitting and verifying judges' integrity declarations. The issue of Russia's responsibility for the war against Ukraine and ways of international legal cooperation to ensure justice for the victims of the war were also discussed. In addition, the functioning of probation services in Ukraine and the Netherlands and the possibility of further cooperation in this area were discussed. After the conference, it was agreed to continue the dialogue through expert consultations to ensure coordination of efforts and advance the necessary reforms for Ukraine's future membership in the EU.
