The investigation into two local residents who set fire to Defense Ministry vehicles has been completed in Rivne. Both were arrested in July of this year in the region, but they had already served Time for robberies and thefts. This was reported by the SBU department in Rivne region on their social media page.
According to the investigation, the criminals received an offer to set fire to military vehicles through a messenger on Telegram for $2,000. They managed to damage two military vehicles of the Armed Forces, but did not receive payment for the job.
Law enforcement officers detained the criminals based on hot leads and during searches, they confiscated their mobile phones with evidence of the arsons.
The men are charged with obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces and other military formations, as well as destruction or damage of property. They remain in custody and face up to 10 years in prison.
