The Central Military Medical Commission explained how often conscripts should undergo a medical examination.

The head of the Central Military Medical Commission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel of the Medical Service Dmytro Miroshnichenko, explained how often conscripts must undergo a medical examination. Depending on the circumstances, military duty must undergo examination once a year during martial law and once every five years in peacetime.
According to the regulations on military medical examination, conscripts are required to undergo a medical examination once every five years (in peacetime - ed.). The Central Military Medical Commission and territorial commissions must have up-to-date information about the number of potential conscripts in their area to plan the recruitment organization accordingly. For this reason, health data must be updated,' said Miroshnichenko.
In addition, he emphasized that the mandatory medical examination for military duty should take place at least once a year during martial law.
'According to the regulations on military medical examination, the decision of the military medical commission on suitability for military service is valid for one year for territorial and central commissions. This allows for dynamic updates of information and ensures the planning of mobilization measures. Health data of individuals must be continuously updated, as it may change over Time,' added Miroshnichenko.
He also reminded that in case of untimely updating of data, the conscript will be summoned by a subpoena and sent for a medical examination.
The Ministry of Defense announced the start of a large-scale reform of territorial commissions.
