According to media statements, this plan will likely include the supply of long-range missiles that can strike targets deep within Russian territory, including Moscow.
However, sources warn that a final decision on this has not yet been made.
Previously, Trump emphasized that he only supported providing Ukraine with defensive weapons to avoid direct confrontation with the Kremlin. However, the new plans may indicate a shift in his containment strategy.
'Trump is very angry with Putin. His statement on Monday will be very aggressive,' said Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.
According to the publication, Ukrainian, American, and European officials believe that the supply of offensive weapons could significantly change the course of the war and influence Russian leader Vladimir Putin's strategic decisions regarding a possible end to hostilities.
According to information, the plan to be presented during the meeting between Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte will involve European countries paying for American-made weapons that will be sent to Ukraine.
This weapon scheme was proposed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the last NATO summit two weeks ago. Representatives of the American and Ukrainian governments emphasized that this meeting between Trump and Zelensky has been the most successful so far.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump promised to send Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems to Ukraine. However, it remains unknown how many of these weapons will be transferred.
