Supermarkets reviewed prices for sunflower oil and eggs: how much Ukrainians will pay in May.


Prices for sunflower oil and chicken eggs increased at the end of May
According to the Minfin portal, Ukrainians are noticing rising prices for essential products at the end of May. Particularly, a lot of attention is paid to the prices of sunflower oil and chicken eggs, which are important products for many families.
In May 2025, the prices for sunflower oil began to rise compared to April. For example, refined 'Oleyna' oil of 850 ml on average costs 79.95 UAH, which is 2.92 UAH more than in the previous month. The prices for this product range from 74.90 UAH to 81.99 UAH depending on the supermarket chain.

Meanwhile, the prices for chicken eggs of category C1, brand 'Kvotchka', turned out to be different. In May, their average price is 67.90 UAH for a pack of 10 pieces, which is 5.9 UAH cheaper than in April. This decrease amounted to almost 8%. Also, 'Yasensvit' eggs offer consumers more affordable prices in May.
