Strike attack on warehouses of UAVs of Russian occupiers
Ukrainian military conducted an attack on warehouses in the Oryol region of Russia where strike unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Russian occupiers were located. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the General Staff, concrete structures containing thermobaric warheads used for equipping drones were damaged during the attack. Information also indicates large-scale consequences of secondary detonation.
The size and consequences of the damage are currently being clarified, but preliminary information suggests that over 200 drones were destroyed. The attack on the warehouses was carried out by units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the defense forces.
«Combat operations aimed at destroying important objects used in aggressive actions against Ukraine and terrorizing the civilian population will continue,» the General Staff stated.
Earlier, units of the unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine again attacked the facilities of the «Ryazan Oil Refining Company,» which supplies the Russian occupation army. Explosions and a fire have been recorded in the area of this target.
It was noted that at least three tanks caught fire in Ryazan on the night of January 24. The fire caused by drone attacks was also spread to a workshop where there are facilities for cleaning diesel fuel and aviation kerosene. Local residents recorded over 50 explosions, which were published on social media.
Earlier, ISW analysts reported that the Kremlin is strengthening the defense of military facilities in border regions to protect against attacks by Ukrainian drones.
