Russia may stage demonstrative 'successes' on the front before May 9 - Austrian expert.

Colonel of the Austrian Armed Forces Markus Reisner claims that Russia may attempt to continue its advance towards the Dnipropetrovsk region, approaching the administrative border. The expert believes that the Russian tactic is to create the impression of successes on the front before 'Victory Day' on May 9.
Reisner also notes that the Russian command is beginning to regroup troops after the liberation of the Kursk direction and is considering Ukraine's actions in the Belgorod direction. It is likely that the Russian Federation will try to continue its advance towards Pokrovsk, where there are only a few kilometers left to the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region. The expert believes that one of the key factors for success is the informational influence that the Russian command receives.
Reisner also points out that Russia has the strategic initiative on the front, puts pressure on Ukrainian defense forces, and forces them to respond in various sectors. At the same Time, Ukraine is trying to regain the initiative, as was the case with the counter-offensive in the Kursk region. The Austrian expert acknowledges the determination and resilience of the Ukrainian Armed Forces but believes that support from Europe has been delayed and limited.
The colonel also notes that Russia is not fighting alone but is receiving support from other countries; in particular, North Korea has supplied millions of artillery shells, Iran - technologies and drones, and China and India are financing its war by purchasing resources. The expert remarks that support for Ukraine from Europe is insufficient and limited by political circumstances regarding military aid.
The situation on the front remains complex, but Reisner believes that the main barrier is the political will of Europe and the readiness to allocate funds to support Ukraine.
