The Russian Federation confiscated more than $100 million from Google: the goal is named.

The Russian authorities confiscated 100 million dollars from Google's accounts to finance propaganda
According to American documents, in 2022 Russian bailiffs seized more than $100 million from Google's accounts in Russian banks. These funds were directed to finance propaganda channels that support Russia's war in Ukraine, in particular, RT and Tsargrad TV.
This action by the Russian authorities led to the bankruptcy of the Russian division of Google, which accused the Kremlin of illegally seizing assets. Court documents confirm that the freezing of bank accounts was carried out by a Moscow court after Google was ordered to compensate the Tsargrad TV channel, which is owned by oligarch Konstantin Malofeev.
In addition, Google also received court rulings regarding compensation for RT and NFPT for the removal of their accounts and content from the YouTube platform. Google filed lawsuits in American and British courts against RT, Tsargrad TV, and NFPT.
Let us remind you that the Google AdSense contextual advertising service is ceasing its activities on the Russian Internet and disabling user accounts from Russia.
