Caught under mortar fire while on a mission in Kursk. Let's remember Mykhailo Rudy.

Every day at 9 AM Ukrainians honor the memory of those who died in the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Mykhailo Rudy.

Mykhailo Rudy, a defender of Ukraine, fought for his life for 19 days after a serious injury. However, on June 18, 2025, the heart of the 39-year-old soldier stopped. This information was disseminated by the Rivne City Council through 'Glavkom'.

Childhood and Education

Mykhailo Tarasovych Rudy was born on December 20, 1985, in the village of Vyshenky, Rivne region. He moved to the city of Rivne with his parents in 1988. He received his education at Rivne Secondary School No. 13, graduated from Rivne Technical Vocational College with a specialty in plumber-installer. He dedicated all his Time to his native city.

Mykhailo is remembered as a kind, sincere man who was always ready to help. He was valued for his honesty, sincerity, and humanity.

On February 10, 2025, Mykhailo was drafted into the army.

Fight for Ukraine and Farewell

During combat missions in Sumy and Kursk regions, Mykhailo suffered serious injuries from enemy mortar fire on May 30, 2025. For 19 days, doctors fought for his life, but on June 18, his heart ceased to beat.

“He dreamed of returning home. He wanted to live, create, love, and be close to his loved ones. But above all, he believed in Victory and gave his all for it,” said the Hero's mother, Yevheniya Platonivna.

The farewell to Mykhailo Rudy took place on June 24 at Independence Square in Rivne. The warrior was buried at the 'Nove' cemetery.
