Beijing called Zelensky's remarks about Chinese soldiers irresponsible.


The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that it has no information about more than 155 Chinese nationals fighting on the side of Russia against Ukraine. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Lin Jiang.
In response to a journalist's question, he said that China does not intend to disclose information about its citizens involved in the war in Ukraine.
Nevertheless, Lin Jiang emphasized that China maintains an objective and fair position regarding the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He stated that China is working to achieve a ceasefire and conduct peace talks.
'Let me emphasize that China's position on the Ukrainian crisis is objective and fair. We strive to achieve a ceasefire and engage in peace talks. The international community understands this well,' - said the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
For his part, the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Lin Jiang, called for avoiding 'careless language' and emphasized that China is not the initiator of the conflict and is not involved in it.
'I would like to reiterate that China is not the initiator of the Ukrainian crisis and is not involved in it. We support a peaceful resolution of the conflict and actively participate in this process. We call on all parties to understand China's role and refrain from careless language,' - said Lin Jiang.
According to statements from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, at least 155 Chinese nationals are involved in the Russian army, according to information obtained by Ukrainian intelligence.
