Russian propagandists anticipated a large-scale strike on Ukraine

On the eve of the successful SBU special operation 'Pavutyina', which inflicted serious losses on the Russian strategic aviation, Russian propagandists actively spread information about preparations for a massive strike on Ukraine. On May 30, a Russian publication released a report claiming preparations for a devastating strike under the code name 'Zeus's Lightning'.

The Kremlin redeployed dozens of strategic bombers to the military airfields 'Olenya' and 'Engels', preparing for an unprecedented scale attack. 'Ukraine will face an unprecedented missile strike if it rejects the demands outlined in the Russian memorandum at the negotiations in Istanbul,' the publication stated.

According to the information from the propagandists, 40 Tu-22M3 bombers and 11 Tu-95MS were concentrated at the airfield 'Olenya'. At the base 'Engels', six Tu-95MS, three Tu-160, and four Su-34 were deployed. There were also reports of intensive arms supplies.

The successful 'Pavutyina' operation halted Russian plans

The analytical aviation resource AviVector published satellite images that purportedly confirmed the concentration of Russian aviation. According to Defence Express, Russia has about 60 Tu-22M3 bombers, making the concentration of 40 aircraft in one place truly significant.

Russian propagandists claimed that the operation aimed to deliver a devastating strike on key facilities in Ukraine - energy infrastructure, transportation, logistics, and command centers. However, on June 1, the SBU conducted an unprecedented operation 'Pavutyina' targeting the Russian strategic aviation, inflicting serious losses precisely on the bases and aircraft that Russian media spoke of.

Russian propagandists actively spread information about a massive strike on Ukraine using strategic aviation, but the SBU 'Pavutyina' operation thwarted their plans. Thanks to the successful operation of the Ukrainian special services, the Russians' attempts to carry out a devastating strike were neutralized, saving a significant number of lives and Ukrainian infrastructure.

The active propaganda of Russian media anticipated a massive strike on Ukraine under the code name 'Zeus's Lightning'; however, the successful 'Pavutyina' special operation of the Ukrainian SBU directed at Russian strategic aviation forced the Kremlin to reconsider its plans and prevented a possible tragedy.
