The Ministry of Internal Policy, Information and Communication of the region reported that mobile internet disconnections in Crimea begin for the purpose of ensuring the safety of residents.
To ensure the safety of the residents of Crimea, mobile internet disconnections may occur starting today. All internet providers will continue to provide services in normal mode.
Cellular communication and WiFi will continue to operate, but mobile internet may be disconnected both during the day and at night.
All cable internet providers will continue to operate in normal mode, including home, office, city connections, and WiFi. This applies to all operators on the peninsula, the mainland, and historical regions.
It was previously reported that mobile communication in Ukraine would work for three days during a blackout. Operators 'Kyivstar', Vodafone and lifecell stated that it is difficult for them to ensure 100% autonomy of mobile communication and the internet for 10 hours during blackouts.
Note that European partners will allocate $435 million to improve communication and restore telecommunications in Ukraine.
