A representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian, stated that Taiwan is not and will never be a separate state. He emphasized that the reunification of the island with China took place after World War II and is part of the international legal order.
The spokesperson also emphasized that the sovereignty of the PRC over Taiwan is confirmed by international agreements.
