30% more expensive than in Ukraine: what is happening with fuel prices in Poland and Romania.

According to the research, fuel prices in Ukraine are the lowest among the countries in the region. The average price of A-95 gasoline is 1.30 euros per liter, while in Poland this price is 1.48 euros, and in Romania - 1.53 euros. Diesel prices are also lower in Ukraine - 1.26 euros per liter, compared to 1.52 euros in Poland and 1.57 euros in Romania.
The main reason for the low prices in Ukraine is state regulation and the absence of VAT on fuel.
In Poland, fuel prices are more stable due to the developed oil refining infrastructure. Romanian prices include increased excise for environmental purposes.
In the field of autogas, the situation is slightly different. Romania offers the lowest price - 0.73 euros per liter, Ukraine - 0.84 euros per liter, and Poland - 0.78 euros per liter.
Tax burdens affect prices. Ukraine has an excise tax on gasoline, Poland has an environmental fee, and Romania collects an excise and VAT.
According to experts' forecasts, gasoline prices in Ukraine could drop to 1.22 euros per liter. However, an increase in excise taxes may limit this decrease.
In Poland, an increase in diesel prices is expected due to rising oil prices. In Romania, an increase in gas and gasoline prices is expected due to changing suppliers and new environmental standards.
