The mother of the Ratushny brothers condemned the behavior of journalists during public funerals.

Writer Svitlana Povaliaieva drew attention to the behavior of journalists during the funeral. She emphasized that journalists often violate the privacy of people in moments of grief. Povaliaieva personally felt discomfort during the funeral of her sons because of the presence of journalists with cameras and photo equipment who approached her from all sides. She cited examples from the burial of the commander of the special unit 'Vorony Da Vinci' Dmytro Kotsyubailo and the husband of journalist Anastasiia Fedchenko. Povaliaieva believes that Ukrainian society needs to talk about the culture of interacting with grief and show more empathy and respect for the personal space of others.
Recently, a situation arose due to the publication of sensitive photos of wounded Ukrainians after Russia's attack on Kyiv. The photographs taken by Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberov and Yevhen Maloletka sparked criticism on social media. This triggered debates about the necessity of publishing such photographs in the media.
