When will the war end? Historian Hrytsak outlined the scenario of events for 2025.

Professor Yaroslav Hrytsak emphasized that in 2025, the beginning of negotiations between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky may be possible. However, both leaders are under such pressure that it may complicate this process. The scholar stated this in his interview for Glavkom.
Hrytsak stressed that there are many unknowns, and it remains a question of what conditions these negotiations will conclude and what future potential Russia has, particularly its economy. Economically, some experts predict critical issues for the Russian economy in 2025, such as hyperinflation and stagflation. However, other specialists do not support this view. According to research, Russia has a buffer for 3-5 years, but the exact amount remains unknown.
The scholar also noted that an important question concerns the Russian army. Has it reached its peak, and can it achieve a higher level? According to Hrytsak, the number of recruits in the Russian army does not cover the losses, and there is an increasing shortage of people willing to fight for money. If this trend continues, Putin may be forced to declare mobilization, which would lead to the destabilization of the situation in the Russian Federation.
Let us remind that the war between Russia and Ukraine will not end in 2025, as dictator Putin has launched large-scale mechanisms of war within Russia itself, and there is no way back for him. Scholar Hrytsak warns of a significant risk of an explosion within Russia.
