Iranian intelligence agencies named the cause of the plane crash that killed President Raisi – Media.

Iranian intelligence agencies have completed the investigation of the plane crash in which President Ebrahim Raisi died in May. They established that this accident likely occurred as a result of an accident. The investigation ruled out the possibility of jamming or hacking the helicopter's electronic systems, as well as the presence of chemical substances that could have influenced the crash.
According to several assessments, any necessary security measures were taken during the president's flight. However, delays in helicopter flights, in any of which Raisi was present, created dangerous weather conditions. In addition, the weight of the helicopter turned out to be too great for the atmospheric pressure in the crash area, complicating the pilot's control. As a result, due to limited visibility because of fog, the helicopter collided with a mountain. Therefore, the intelligence agencies claim that it was an accident.
After hours of intense searching, the body of President Raisi and other officials who were on board were found in a mountainous area after the crash. All died.
After this tragedy, the country held extraordinary elections in which Masoud Pezeskiyan became the new president.
