The General Staff estimated the losses of Russians over the past year of their active offensive.

Over the course of one year of offensive actions, starting from November 2023, the enemy has lost approximately 400 thousand military personnel. This was stated by General Anatoliy Barhylevych, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an exclusive interview with 'Glavkom'.
Additionally, according to him, the enemy has suffered losses of about 4 thousand tanks, 9 thousand armored vehicles, and approximately 13 thousand artillery systems.
We are currently conducting a large-scale defensive operation. The main goal is to destroy the enemy and its reserves
Barhylevych emphasized that such losses are extremely significant even for Russia. The enemy is forced to turn to its 'allies', such as North Korea, not only for ammunition but also for manpower.
According to Barhylevych's data, the enemy's losses in killed and wounded are eight times greater than the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the calculations of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia has lost approximately 725.7 thousand people in the war with Ukraine as of November 20, 2024.
According to Barhylevych, the Russian army outnumbers the Ukrainian army by 4-8 times in terms of personnel. However, in the past month, significantly fewer soldiers are participating in assaults.
Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha reported that Russia loses about one and a half thousand military personnel daily killed and wounded in the war with Ukraine. In ten days, the losses are equivalent to those the Soviet Union suffered in Afghanistan over ten years.
