In most US states, the results of the presidential elections are predictable, as some of them always support Democrat candidates, while others back Republicans. However, there are states where electoral sympathy changes from year to year, and they are called "swing" states.
Preliminary voting results in seven "swing" states
Trump is supported by 49.6% of voters, Harris also received 49.6% support. 50% of the votes have already been counted.
Georgia: Trump is supported by 51.3%, Harris received 48% of the votes. 88% of the votes have already been counted.
Michigan: Trump is supported by 49.6%, Harris received 48.6% support. 24% of the votes have already been counted.
Wisconsin: Trump is supported by 49.8%, Harris received 48.7% support. 56% of the votes have already been counted.
Pennsylvania: Trump is supported by 50.9%, Harris received 48.2% of the votes. 60% of the votes have already been counted.
North Carolina: Trump is supported by 50.7%, Harris received 48.2% support. 84% of the votes have already been counted.
Nevada: The polling stations have already closed, but the vote counting has not yet begun.
The most important for candidates is Pennsylvania with 19 electoral votes. To win the elections, candidates need 270 votes. Then come Michigan and Georgia - 16 each, North Carolina - 15, Arizona - 11, Wisconsin - 10, and Nevada - 6.
