Energy Independence: EU Countries Return to Nuclear Energy.

European countries have different approaches to nuclear energy in their energy independence strategy. Denmark and Spain have announced changes in their policy regarding nuclear technologies.
Denmark has decided to reconsider its ban on nuclear energy, which has been in place for 40 years, and is exploring the possibility of using advanced technologies, such as small modular reactors,
According to Denmark's Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard, solar and wind power remain a more economical and efficient source of energy production, but new nuclear technologies could become an additional energy source.
Spain has also shown openness to nuclear energy, not ruling out the possibility of extending the operation of nuclear reactors beyond 2035,
At the same Time, Germany, which has already shut down all its nuclear power plants, has stated its refusal to use nuclear energy. Bruegel expert Georg Zachmann noted that nuclear energy remains a very controversial technology in European electricity production. According to the analytical center Ember, renewable energy sources are becoming more popular, but nuclear production is also growing.
Ukraine may join the countries that are actively considering the possibilities of using nuclear energy in their energy policy, which could have serious implications for the development of the energy sector in the future.
