British Minister Reveals Putin's Plans Regarding the War in Ukraine.

The Kremlin continues to block any attempts at a peaceful resolution to the war between Russia and Ukraine. This was stated by British Foreign Secretary David Lammy after his official visit to Kyiv, where he met with President Volodymyr Zelensky and other officials.
According to the British diplomat, despite the new American administration's statements about its willingness to mediate and President Donald Trump's desire to end the conflict as soon as possible, hostilities are likely to continue.
'I am not sure that we have a few weeks left before peace talks. And I say this because our assessment, which I am sure is shared by the United States, is that Putin shows absolutely no desire to negotiate and end this war,' Lammy emphasized in an interview with The Guardian.
The British minister also noted the heroic struggle of Ukrainian soldiers: 'We are still in the depths of winter. The truth is that young men and women, who make up the Ukrainian forces, are fighting for the future of their country on the ground, and this will continue for several more months...'
The Ukrainian side has clearly expressed its position – a ceasefire is only possible after substantive negotiations begin. Given the Kremlin's unwillingness to engage in dialogue, the British Foreign Secretary pessimistically assesses the prospects for a quick resolution to the conflict.
'I clearly understand that at this moment Putin shows no desire to negotiate. And therefore, unfortunately, I think this war of attrition will continue for several more months,' Lammy concluded.
Earlier, General Kellogg revealed a new plan by Trump to end the war in Ukraine.
