According to British intelligence, the movement of the Russian army on Ukrainian territory is slowing down, and its gains are becoming smaller.

According to British intelligence, the Russian army has been gradually reducing the pace of its advance in Ukraine since November 2024, when it captured over 700 square kilometers of territory.

In March 2025, Russian troops likely only occupied 143 square kilometers, which is a smaller area compared to previous months.

Among the gains of the Russian army, British intelligence notes tactical counterattacks by Ukrainian forces, which helped reduce Russia's gains near Pokrovsk.

At the beginning of March, the number of ground attacks from the Russians increased, although the advance did not accelerate. Ukrainian forces managed to repel these attacks.

It should be noted that the main direction of the Russian advance is the Kursk region. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine may currently be conducting counterattacks in other areas of the front.

Therefore, according to British intelligence data, Russia is advancing more slowly in Ukraine since the beginning of 2025, and Ukrainian troops are successfully resisting them. However, the conflict is not over, and the situation continues to evolve.
