Biletsky named the components of effective command.

Commander of the Third Army Corps Andriy Biletsky spoke about the key principles of successful management of military units. He actively implements these approaches in the Third Assault Brigade and plans to spread them throughout the entire corps.

One of the most important elements is teamwork – the ability of units to act in unison, as a single mechanism. This helps to avoid disunity and ensure effective interaction.

“A team of like-minded individuals is formed, who do not wait for orders from above but feel the commander's intent and think together with him. Americans now call this a 'team of teams'. And I believe this is the greatest challenge of military leadership today,” emphasized Biletsky.

Initiative and development

Biletsky emphasizes the importance of initiative: in the brigade, many innovations come from lower-ranking commanders and soldiers. This requires trust from the command towards subordinates.

He also highlighted the necessity of constant self-development and the personal example of the commander. “When you see that a person is passionate about their work – it supports the path to success. Inertia, apathy, and reluctance to take risks are unacceptable for me, especially in command structures,” noted Biletsky.

Building the corps

In the Third Corps, he is reproducing already proven management methods that have demonstrated their effectiveness in the Third Assault Brigade and Azov. A new command vertical is currently being established, and one of the first steps was the creation of five brigades involving special forces.

Biletsky is confident that the Third Corps is one of the most dynamic in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in terms of transformation pace and has every chance to become a powerful management body.
